Binance signs MoU with The Ministry of Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On May 25, 2022, Binance, the world’s leading provider of crypto assets and blockchain infrastructure, announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In this agreement, both parties will cooperate in an area of ​​mutual interest in the country’s crypto-asset market.

The signing of the MoU comes during an official visit to Kazakhstan by Binance founder and CEO Changpeng Zhao (hereafter: СZ). On May 22, CZ visited Kazakhstan and met with Kazakhstan’s President Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, the President’s First Deputy Chief of Staff Timur Suleimenov, and the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry Bagdat Musin.

The move means Binance will advise on the development of the legislative framework and regulatory policy for crypto assets in Kazakhstan. Under this cooperation agreement, the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan and Binance will also seek opportunities to integrate banking infrastructure into the cryptocurrency market and promote the development and implementation of distributed ledger technology. Support the international IT start-up tech park Astana Hub among local and international talent, making it the blockchain hub of the region.
