Investors are now requested to refrain from making transactions to ETN wallets on Cryptopia.

This is due to Cryptopia unable to cope with the transaction volume that has been generated by the ETN community.

What is happening to ETN wallet?

Starting this year, Cryptopia has received a large number transaction requests in ETN Wallet, which number exceeds the capacity of the wallet, and even made them incapable of running continuously and reliably.

According to Cryptopia, they have seen more transactions in the last few months, than the entire Monero network worldwide has had in the last year.

ETN wallet code originally come from Monero, and the fundamental problem is that the code cannot handle large number of transaction records.

Now Cryptopia is investigating a number of solutions, working collaboratively with ETN developer team.

How does this affect users?

Temporarily, until the problem gets resolved, there are 2 points users need to note.

  1. Cryptopia do not support mining to their deposit address.
    • This is to avoid amplifying the problem by creating a high number of transactions of small value.
  2. Investors are requested to refrain from depositing to their address.

Above conditions are only temporarily, and may change upon Cryptopia’s further notice on the matter.
