Binance in Cyprus - Registration as a Crypto Asset Services Provider (CASP) by CySEC

Binance gets a license in Cyprus

On October 20, Binance announced that “Binance Cyprus” has been granted the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) Class 3 Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) registration license on the same day.

The registration will enable Binance to offer services that comply with CySEC’s Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) rules, including spot, custody, staking and crypto card services.

In addition to licensing traditional financial institutions, CySEC also conducts Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CFT) regulation for crypto asset services in or from Cyprus, strictly assessing AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer) process.

This is another milestone in Binance’s compliance efforts in Europe, following the completion of similar registrations by Binance’s local entities in France, Italy and Spain.
