BitMEX Spot trading is now available in Hong Kong.
BitMEX has shared that BitMEX spot trading is now available to network users in Hong Kong, effective immediately.
This means that verified users can now buy, sell and trade their cryptocurrencies through a full-fledged order book on BitMEX Spot.
Please note that some existing Hong Kong users may need to complete identity and address verification before trading. This process takes no more than 5 minutes to complete.
Currently, BitMEX offers ten spot trading pairs – XBT/USDT, ETH/USDT, APE/USDT, AXS/USDT, LINK/USDT, MATIC/USDT, SOL/USDT, TRX/USDT, UNI/USDT and ETH/XBT – And plans to add more deals in the coming weeks and months.
In addition to trading on BitMEX Spot, verified users in Hong Kong can now do the following:
- Exchange up to 20 cryptocurrencies
- Buy up to 10 cryptocurrencies with over 36 fiat currencies, and
- Visit BitMEX’s EARN products

To celebrate the opening of BitMEX’s spot exchange to Hong Kong, new users and successfully verified users can earn BMEX after completing the following actions:
- Sign up for the first time and deposit funds and get 10 BMEX
- Get 15 BMEX for trading at least $250 in Spot
- Get 15 BMEX when you buy $250 or more with the Buy feature
- Redeem $250 or more and get 15 BMEX
Please note that while spot trading is now possible, trading in derivatives contracts will remain closed to Hong Kong.
