Tether Deposits Now Live on BitMEX

Tether deposits are now online on BitMEX.

BitMEX is no longer a Bitcoin-only platform. Haste is not enough, BitMEX introduces Tether coins.

Before launching BitMEX’s USDT margin contract at 04:00 UTC on November 10th, BitMEX now accepts deposits in Tether coins (ERC20-USDT). BitMEX will list nine contracts: seven linear perpetual swap contracts for XBT, ETH, XRP, LTC, BCH, DOGE and SOL, and two linear futures contracts for XBT and ETH.

When the transaction starts, all contracts with USDT as margin will be traded for free for 30 days (until December 9). That’s right-zero fees for everyone.

At the same time, in order to incentivize early bird deposits, the first 8000 users who deposit before November 10 and trade during the zero-fee period will receive a USDT 50 bonus. As long as you maintain a minimum balance of 250 USDT or more in your account before December 9th, you will be eligible.

BitMEX will also reward some early depositors, users and recommenders, and provide personalized AC Milan/BitMEX packages and limited edition NFTs. Referees will also like the new exclusive incentives BitMEX introduced for them during the event, if the referee reaches a trading volume of 15 million USDT, he will receive a $1,500 bonus.

BitMEX has just changed and got better. And this is by no means the end of the major improvements BitMEX has made for BitMEX’s users under the ” More than Derivatives ” strategy. BitMEX puts traders at the core of everything it does, and BitMEX is happy to make more user-friendly changes in the coming weeks and months.

Deposit Tether to BitMEX

Here are some very important details to keep in mind:

What BitMEX uses is the Tether coin issued on the Ethereum network, which is the so-called ERC20-USDT. Please do not send TED coins issued on the Tron network (TRC20-USDT), or any other currencies other than USDT, such as BSC or ERC20. BitMEX will not be able to restore it. BitMEX will prompt on the deposit page, but this is also worth emphasizing here.

This means that BitMEX will have some contracts with Bitcoin as margin, and other contracts with USDT as margin. The margins of these two currencies cannot be shared (whole position), but BitMEX has heard your voice, which will be introduced in 2022.

BitMEX is moving from a Bitcoin-only insurance fund to a dual insurance fund that covers Bitcoin and Tether. This will require occasional transfers between the two, so don’t panic. BitMEX still has one of the largest insurance funds in the industry-if not the largest.
