Learn more about these 9 artists and their NFT artwork:

1.Ai Makita is a Tokyo and New York-based visual artist who combines digital and analog methods to express her views on the human world. She creates layers of paintings and digital images that are superimposed on top of each other. They are the same whether they are on a computer screen or in a drawing.

2. Alejandro Magallanes is a legendary Mexican graphic designer, book designer and illustrator. His original digital works showcase his signature style: humorous, dynamic and imaginative. His animation functions almost like visual short poems, haiku, Magallanes is both a professional animation draughtsman and a poet. The artworks were created for Magallanes’ mid-career retrospective at the Carrillo Gil Museum in Mexico City, and have only been shown at the museum so far. Based on these animations, a series of NFTs are brewing in 2021.

3. David Russo, born in New York in 1978, is a digital creator who uses photography and short film essays to tell stories. David has over 20 years of experience as a photographer and director in documentaries, branded content creation and feature film projects. David now devotes himself to the creation of “Audiophotos”, a short film-with-audio short film that uses NFTs to achieve personal narratives, while using them as a tool of transformation and healing.

4. Kevin Heisner is a multidisciplinary artist. He combines traditional art practices with robotics and other forms of new media technologies, including AR, VR, and AI, to connect physical space with the metaverse. His series of NFTs are called “Sea Spirits”, fairy-like creatures floating in the ocean.

5.NATKINS (Nicole Atkins) is a singer-songwriter, currently living in Nashville, USA, engaged in music and art creation. She uses mixed media, often creating paintings and collages while touring. In 2021, Atkins made her first foray into digital art, building her first NFT on “Foundation and Snark.art”.

6. Oscar Oiwa creates internationally recognized aerial paintings on large canvases. In 1996, his “Shadow Cat and Light Rabbit” series debuted. The rabbit and cat in it represent opposite but complementary realities, such as day and night, peace and war, light and darkness. This is one of 100 digital images created using a Wacom Pro tablet and Photoshop, saved in jpeg format. Later, these digital drawings were made into a film. The final format of the film was edited to 2160 x 2160 pixel resolution and set to the original score composed by Leo Oiwa.

7. Shinji Murakami is known for his conceptual 8-bit sculptures and murals. Before he became an artist, he created emojis for Japanese mobile phone companies, and he is also known for his large-scale outdoor murals at Tokyo’s Shinjuku Station and a tile work commissioned by Salesforce for its global office locations. Inspired by 8-bit technology, Murakami creates works related to video games from his childhood, such as Dragon Quest, The Legend of Zelda, and more.

8. Yasuo Nomura is a concept artist. Nomura’s work explores the physical and mathematical underpinnings of the natural world and universe. This led him to the concept of dimensionalism: an attempt to renew human perception and consciousness by targeting an unknown “higher dimension”.

9. Ellwood Chen is a post-90s artist. His work has been collected and exhibited by private collectors around the world, including the NFT-focused Vulcan DAO in Asia. Chen’s series “Matrix” was exhibited at “Virtual Habitat”, one of the first cryptocurrency art exhibitions in the world.
