About Funding Fees and Settlement Fees
BitMEX’s perpetual contracts will incur funding fees.
For calculation examples of funding fees, please refer to the details of each perpetual contract.
You can also query the history of funding fees for all perpetual contracts.
Perpetual contracts are not settled (unless there is an “early settlement”, which will be further detailed below), so there are no settlement fees.
When the contract is settled, the position will be settled at the settlement price.
Once a contract expires, the full profit and loss of that contract will be added to the trader’s corresponding cryptocurrency balance, depending on the settlement currency.
This contract will no longer appear in the Positions section.
All calculations on BitMEX are final.
