Secure your account of Kriptomat

The Kriptomat team takes security extremely seriously.

That is why Kriptomat has implemented multiple organizational and technical security measures.

With that in mind, Kriptomat has prepared some security recommendations for you and suggest that you follow them:

Go to Kriptomat’s Official Website

Use unique credentials for both the Kriptomat account and your email

Kriptomat will not tire of emphasizing this: do not reuse your Kriptomat account password anywhere else. In addition to being unique, your password should be complex and change regularly (for example, every two months).

You can go even further: create an email account only for Kriptomat-related use.

Open Kriptomat’s Account

Enable Google 2FA

Google’s two-factor authentication (2FA) is considered a bit more secure than SMS-based 2FA. You should use this security measure in the email you use for Kriptomat.

Communication with Kriptomat’s customer service

Members of the Kriptomat Team will never ask you to install any application on your device. The only exception is the Google Authenticator app to enable Google 2FA on your phone.

At the moment, the only channel Kriptomat uses for customer service is Kriptomat’s chat. This means that Kriptomat will never contact you by phone. If someone does, they are a copycat. Please contact Kriptomat immediately if this happens.

Go to Kriptomat’s Official Website

Beware of fake websites – possible Kriptomat clones

Just bookmark this URL https://app.kriptomat.io/login and use it to access Kriptomat. If you come across a website pretending to be Kriptomat (this is called attempted spoofing), contact Kriptomat immediately.

Account activity

Kriptomat allows you to see data about each login made to your account. Go to the Settings> Security section, where you can see information about the time, location, IP address and the browser used for each login and logout made to your account.

Sign up for Kriptomat’s service

Pay attention to email notifications

You will always receive email notifications for all types of actions on your Kriptomat account. You will receive it for new device logins, purchases, deposits, withdrawals, etc. Pay attention to these emails to make sure that you are the one who is performing these actions. If you ever suspect that it was not you, contact the chat support service on our website or write an email to support@kriptomat.io immediately.
